SEATTLE, WA - She called in tears, just as HR said she would. He'd watched the crash and burn in email - they all watched it. Over eight hours, the evaluations had gone from highly unusual to hostile. They were unclear she was internal - they were clearly bozos.
HR explained exactly what he would say when she called. He didn't understand why he'd be the one to tell her. He carefully read the bulleted list.
She would lose her visa. She would have one week to leave the country. Future applications would not be eligible for consideration. If she would sign a discrimination liability release, she would receive severance.
He would help move her things from their apartment.
